Automatic Driving Lessons Newbury – Aggie Jones
Congratulations Aggie Jones on passing your driving test at Greenham test centre in Newbury after taking a semi-intensive driving course. Congratulation to your instructor Tomasz on a great result too. Over the course of around 3 to 4 weeks Tomasz got you up to speed and passing in your own car. Thanks to mum Nikki for your kind words:

“Hi Tom Aggie passed!!!!!! She is so happy, and it’s definitely all down to your fantastic teaching. Thank you so so much. We were very lucky to find you! If you need any testimonials or comments on your website, please let me know. I would be very happy to tell everyone how outstanding you are. Thank you again. Nikki”

Data compiled by the Society of Motor Manufacturers has revealed that 186,128 new cars were registered in the UK last month. Despite this being a significant lift from last year, it is relevant to add that this time last year we were still recovering from the first lockdown, so a decrease in car sales was nothing if not predictable. Compared to the decade-long average, sales are still down by nearly 27% across Britain, including places like Newbury. While sales are down, however, we are seeing a blossoming interest in green alternatives to petrol and diesel motors, with battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids accounting for 17.2% of the new car registrations. 1 out of every 10 of these sales was an exclusively electric vehicle, whereas diesel cars only accounted for 8.1% of the market share, managing 14.2% through mild hybrid diesel.

Sarah Winward-Kotecha, Director of Electric Vehicles for The RAC stated ‘June was another month that demonstrated the seemingly inexorable rise in the popularity new electric cars. Sales of new battery electric cars jumped by more than 50% in just a month and made June the fourth best month on record for sales of these vehicles.’
Sales in these greener alternatives are predicted to rise exponentially given new emissions laws coming into effect over the next decade, and with this rise, driving schools should probably expect a developing interest for automatic lessons, as electric vehicles are fitted with automatic transmissions by default.
